I attended elementary school in England and Canada. I went to high school in Ontario, graduating from Grade 13 in 1965.

My college career began in Engineering Physics at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. (2 years), and continued in Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. I received a BASc in Industrial Engineering in 1969.

I completed a BEd at the Faculty of Education at U of T in 1976, with a major in Math and a minor in Spanish.

Since moving to Rhode Island in 1986, I have taken a dozen or so graduate courses at RIC and URI. These courses allowed me to receive and maintain my Secondary Mathematics certification from the RI Department of Education
